You’ll assist with monthly accounting for a diverse group of small business clients and support the preparation of business and individual tax returns. This is hands on work with direct feedback and mentorship from the firm owner.

You’ll see how clean books, good processes, and sound tax decisions connect to real business outcomes.

What You’ll Learn

  • How monthly accounting supports decision-making for small business owners

  • Practical use of accounting software and workflows used in modern firms

  • How business and individual tax returns are built from source documents to final filing

  • The importance of accuracy, documentation, and consistency in professional work

  • How accounting, tax, and advisory services fit together in a real practice

You’ll gain experience that goes beyond textbooks and classroom examples.

This role is a strong fit if you:

  • Are studying accounting, finance, or a related field

  • Enjoy solving problems and figuring things out when instructions aren’t perfect

  • Care about doing work the right way, not just getting it done

  • Want real responsibility and are open to feedback and learning

This is not a passive internship.  It’s best suited for someone who is engaged, dependable, and motivated to build real skills.

Sales & Marketing Intern

This internship is for someone interested in how a small professional services firm attracts, educates, and converts clients. You’ll support sales and marketing efforts focused on growth including outreach, follow-up, content, and improving how the firm communicates its value to business owners.

You’ll work directly with the firm owner and see how marketing, sales conversations, and client relationships connect to real revenue. This is a hands-on role with room to experiment, learn quickly, and take ownership.

What You’ll Learn

  • How a professional services firm generates and qualifies leads

  • How to communicate value clearly to small business owners

  • The basics of sales follow-up, pipeline thinking, and relationship-based selling

  • How marketing content supports sales conversations (not just vanity metrics)

  • What works — and what doesn’t — when growing a small business with limited resources

You’ll learn how growth actually happens, not just how it’s described in theory.

Who This Is a Good Fit For

This role is a strong fit if you:

  • Are interested in sales, marketing, entrepreneurship, or business development

  • Are comfortable reaching out, following up, and starting conversations

  • Like testing ideas, learning from results, and improving quickly

  • Are motivated, reliable, and willing to take initiative without being micromanaged

  • Want experience that feels closer to building a business than completing an assignment

This is not a passive or purely observational internship  it’s best suited for someone with curiosity, persistence, and a willingness to put in real effort.
